Like a Referee, Umpire or Line-Judge, Commissaires in cycling ensure race rules are followed by participants, that conditions for competition are safe, and that standards for cycling competition are met.
Becoming a provincially certified Commissaire with Bicycle Nova Scotia is easy. With enough experience and support, Provincial Commissaires can even apply to become nationally recognized and officiate at Cycling Canada Sanctioned events!
