Blue Route Projects

The Blue Route is a province-wide project to create a continuous network of bicycling infrastructure. By developing safe, well-connected bicycle routes, the Blue Route will make it easier for Nova Scotians to get around the province on two wheels. Our projects focus on building the network across the province, with a focus on connecting communities.

Blue Route Hubs

Connecting local communities by bike. The Blue Route Hubs project works in communities along the Blue Route, to develop local networks of safe cycling infrastructure that allow locals and visitors to get around by bike. See more about the Hubs project.

Wayfinding Guide

Creating uniform signage to help navigate the Blue Route. The Bicycle Wayfinding System was developed to improve on-route, destination-based wayfinding along designated cycling routes throughout Nova Scotia. See the Bicycle Wayfinding Guide here.
